Cannabidiol (CBD) and tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) are two of many (over 200) cannabinoids in the cannabis plant. CBD is the most abundant non-psychoactive cannabinoid found in cannabis and is being scientifically investigated for numerous reasons, including pain, inflammation, and nero-protection. Most people have heard of a cannabinoid called THC, which gets users high. Unlike THC, CBD is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid and does not cause a high.

Both hemp and marijuana come from the same plant, Cannabis.

As of 1994 the US government defined hemp as the cannabis plant with less than .3 % THC. (https://nifa.usda.gov/industrial-hemp)

Hemp has long been used for the industrial production of items such as clothing and rope. It is popular as a cooking oil, superfood (hemp seeds) and in many beauty products.

Low THC (< .3%) is the single difference most rely on to distinguish industrial hemp from marijuana. CBD taken from hemp and marijuana is the exact same compound.

We are continually researching and vetting various companies and their products.  We go through an extensive process which includes reviewing: labs, business ethics/practices, pricing, energetic testing to make sure it is compatible the the human body, medical professional reviews, and detailed client reviews. We will honestly tell you the difference between products.  We do the research so you don't have to.

The labs  on all of our products can be found in our FAQ and Blog/News.  We only choose products that show a range of terpenes and cannabinoids, proving it’s a whole plant product. The labs must show the product to be clean and natural.

After reviewing labs we want to make sure the pricing is some of the most reasonable in the industry. We only deal with very professional growers and manufacturers who cares about their customers and their US grown plants and plan to be around for a long time.

The Artistic Organics oil tincture line is from Oregon where the plants are grown outdoors. The products work well for someone who wants the least amount of processing and wants to stay as close to the natural state of the plant as possible.  Our RAW product is one of the only like it in the US.  It takes a lot more plant to produce the product and is minimally processed to leave the natural CBD-Acid.  This has been found to work well for severe chronic conditions and is usually used by someone under medical care.

The product is in an oil base and for the best absorption, drop it under your tongue and hold it there as long as possible to maximize effectiveness.

The Artistic Organics Water Soluble line includes our Pet Products.  Artistic Organics Pain, Beauty and Edible products are made by the same manufacturer.  They manufacturer specific products to cater to our clients needs.     The labs show a range of terpenes and cannabinoids, proving its a whole plant product. The labs also show the product to be clean and natural.  The pricing is average for the industry insuring a good value to our customers.

Each product is used differently, catering to each customers application preferences.  Please contact us with any questions.

The Endocannabinoid System, named after the plant that led to its discovery, and the receptors are found throughout the body: in the brain, organs, connective tissues, glands, and immune cells. In each tissue, the cannabinoid system performs different tasks, but the goal is always the same: homeostasis, the maintenance of a stable internal environment despite fluctuations in the external environment.

As we continue to sort through the emerging science of cannabis and cannabinoids, one thing remains clear: a functional cannabinoid system is essential for health.

There is a wide range of dosage suggestions. But one point most medical professionals agree on is “start low and go slow”. Start with the lowest dosage and slowly increase. It takes time for the body to adapt and respond. As a general rule a 150 lb person with mild to moderate issues will need between 5-20 mg CBD daily. It is recommended this be split into 2 or more doses throughout the day. A person with moderate to severe issues will need between 20-40 mg per day.

Absorption is an issue. If a person has gut issues and doesn’t absorb nutrients well, much of the product will not be absorbed. If the product is an oil based, it is recommended to drop the product under the tongue and hold it for as long as possible, then swallow. This allows the product to absorb through the membranes of the mouth. Also, the result is much quicker than swallowing alone. This is important for people needing immediate relief for such conditions as anxiety and migraines.  Water soluble products absorb quickest when mixed with water and taken on an empty stomach.

Many people find that consistent levels throughout the day is beneficial. So, splitting the daily amount up as much as possible vs. 1 x a day is best.  For more information look at our guidelines:

Titration, How Do We Know How Much To Take?

"Research has shown that small doses of cannabinoids from cannabis can signal the body to make more endocannabinoids and build more cannabinoid receptors. This is why many first-time cannabis users don't feel an effect, but by their second or third time using the herb they have built more cannabinoid receptors and are ready to respond. More receptors increase a person's sensitivity to cannabinoids; smaller doses have larger effects, and the individual has an enhanced baseline of endocannabinoid activity. Small, regular doses of cannabis might act as a tonic to our most central physiologic healing system."

Also look at our guidelines on how much to take: Titration, How Do We Know How Much To Take?

Terpenes are a group of compounds found in the essential oils of plants, especially flowers, conifers and citrus trees. They tend to be very strong smelling and tasting. These essential oils give Cannabis its distinct smell and taste. Many compare it to lavender, pine, eucalyptus, and citrus. These are very strong smelling/tasting oils, but any product that does not have a strong taste and smell is not made from the whole plant. This is another reason why we look at labs to verify the product contains a variety of terpenes.

We must first preface any answer to this type of question to say that we are not lawyers nor doctors and cannot provide legal or medical advice.
Most employers performing a drug screening will use the SAMHSA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration) guidelines. These guidelines specify an initial urine test for the analyte THC (the psychoactive compound). Other non-psychoactive cannabinoids (CBD, CBN, CBG, etc) will not typically be identified in this test.

If a test looks for all cannabinoids or comes back positive the SAMHSA guidelines specify a more accurate GC/MS analysis be performed to eliminate any potential for false positive results from the urine analysis. In a GC/MS analysis, the molecule differences between CBD and THC are easily identified.
You must consult your employer’s guidelines and acceptance criteria for their definition of what is considered illegal drug use. Some companies may include all cannabinoids in their policy, which can impact drug testing results for CBD users.

An additional note: many testing agencies use a test similar to the one that can be bought at any local drug store.
Additionally, research suggests that people who use a very high amount of CBD or any cannabinoid, can test positive because cannabinoids can build up over time. A high amount, in this research, was defined as 100's of milligrams of product daily.

As a word of caution, no matter what CBD product you take, always make sure you see the labs for potency and make sure the product is .3% or less THC.

This Cannabis industry is like a roller-coaster. Creative marketing is everywhere. There are no regulations on wording, any manufacturer can use any wording. They are all competing to gather market share because demand from consumers is so high. You hear crazy stories of miracle healing. People who the traditional medical industry can’t help are finding hope. So let’s take a step back and look at how a consumer should approach the industry.
Ignore the hype. Let’s set some realistic expectations.... This is plant based medicine. It probably won't work like 'popping a pill'. Most consumers try 3-4 products before they find one that works for them.
So, how do we wade through this confusion?
1 - Read the online reviews. Are there any reviews from people that state it didn’t work for them? That’s good because you know the company posts all reviews, not just the good ones.
2 - The industry has very little regulation, therefore it is up to the consumer to make sure the product is clean, contains what is on the label and has no solvents or pesticides. Ignore the marketing, look at the lab results. The products are made form a plant that works on nerves and cells, and you don’t want any toxic items! When reviewing a company, do they have labs with actual values next to each item tested? Did you know that if you see "NT" as a lab value it means Not Tested? Read the fine print. Manufacturers will post labs with a long list of NT, and state...”Look we tested our product”
3- Understand that this plant brings the body into homeostasis. That means each part of the body tries to come to a level or stable state or equilibrium. It doesn’t mask conditions, it adjusts body function to what it should be. People notice the “absence” of their issues. This doesn’t happen overnight, after all, it took your body years to get these issues. Research suggests 3-4 weeks is typical, with some conditions changing sooner and some much later. For example a change in typical pain is seen sooner, and deep nerve damage can take months.
4- So, after you’ve read reviews, looked at the labs and have realistic time expectations.... buy enough product to test for 30 days and start at a very low dose. This is typically 1/4 of the manufacturers suggested dose. Then adjust the dosage up every few days. Pay attention...are you less forgetful? Is your pain less? Are you suddenly more engaged with life? Do you sleep better? Pay attention to your body. Don’t be surprised if, for example, you got the product for your back pain and you notice you remember where you put your keys more often. Look at the various issues with your body. Pay attention to what “disappears”.
5 - So you've tested a product for 30 days and want to try a different brand. Calculate the mg of CBD you take daily, cut that in half and start there with the new brand, working your way up to find what works. Know that another 30 Days is needed to really allow your body to test this product.
6 - It is highly recommended to have a partnership with a medical professional. Share your experiences with them. Some people have detox or flu like symptoms as their body comes to homeostasis and need some help. Plus share your excitement at your successes. Your experience could help another patient! Nothing is better than knowing your story has helped others.
7 - Enjoy the experience....as you heal you may have a wild and crazy story of your own. Tell your friends and share your story, but let people know realistic expectations.

We have labs on all of our products.  Labs

EMF is Electro Magnetic Field. It is defined as: “a physical field produced by electrically charged objects. It affects the behavior of charged objects in the vicinity of the field. (Wikipedia)”

Modern technology creates EMF’s. This includes: Cell phones, computers, wireless internet, televisions, radios, appliances, hair dryers, computers, powerlines, microwaves, lighting frequencies, and radio & cell towers and many others. You can check out the World Health Organization’s website for more information WHO Electromagnetic Fields

The human body has one EMF and a cell phone, for example, is another. These two do not produce the same EMF, nor are they compatible.  What does this mean for the new 5G wireless being rolled out?  How will it effect us?  Here is a good article for more information from GreenMedInfo:  5G Are Concerns Justified?

Modern Technology, although crucial to our everyday lives, has increased our exposure to hazardous electro-magnetic fields (EMF's). Because it cannot be seen, heard, or touched, we tend to forget the threat EMF's pose to our health and well-being.

The jewelry we carry is made from a trade-marked ingredient from a select source of highly para-magnetic volcanic basalt minerals that seem to be very effective in protecting the human biofield. While deflecting and neutralizing effects of EMF, these pendants help to raise the body to its highest natural cellular resonance, making the human biofield stronger.

Wearing a pendant, you may see improvement in mental clarity, overall energy, and well-being.

All of our pendants are 3rd party tested and also sold at several medical offices in the North Dallas area. Please Contact Us for more information on these offices.

Most people grew up surrounded by technology and strengthening the body biofield with a pendant can feel different initially. Some people may get a headache or feel dizzy or need a nap, initially. This is the body adjusting and a good sign. It can take time to acclimate and if the feeling is bothersome a person can take the necklace off and put it back on later, letting the body get used to it. After the adjustment period many won’t want to take the necklace off, this is especially true in children and perfectly normal.

We carry other products to help with EMF, including cell phone, router, and computer remediation. The cell phone strips can be put inside a cell phone case or glued to the outside. Two may be needed for a tablet or laptop.

The larger pieces we call ‘cupcakes’ are used to remediate an entire room or computer workspace. We recommend putting one on a router, modem and desktop. They are great for travel and hotel rooms. We have several medical offices in the North Dallas area who sell them to their patients. Feel free to Contact Us for their info.
